R-Type arcade cab: Get?!

Poking around craigslist when I noticed this: http://medford.craigslist.org/clt/831189470.html

After talking with the wife, we decided the price certainly wouldn't put us in the poor house if we held off on a few other purchases for a while, but I'm still not convinced we really ought to blow that chunk of change just yet.  Plus, there's the little logistical problem of getting it from the location to home (24km to the south) considering our combined transportation resources are her go-kart CRX and my bike + overly large messenger bag.  How uncommon is an R-Type cab in (what looks to be) this kind of shape?  Should I spring for it? Help me out here fellas!

As a bit of a side note, we're just starting out the marriage and haven't gotten around to combining banks accounts or figuring out a monthly system regarding things like student loan payments yet, hence the financial indecision.
