I had a lot of fun with this game and now you can buy it at gog.com for 5USD.

Clearly inspired by Raiden and the only "purchase" more hardware game I have
ever played.

Oh man, I played the shareware original so much when I was in high school--this and Tyrain.  That was a great era of PC gaming, when developers actually released demos that would give you the full game experience so you could make a better purchasing decision.

What's the difference in the 2010 Edition--is it just updated to run on modern hardware, or did they add any new content?

They claim updated graphics and better support for modern hardware.

I didn't notice much of a difference int the graphics, but it does run nicely on modern hardware.
