New Grev blog post:

http://maglog.jp/grev/Article.html

They say the version at the AOU show is 60% complete. They also say it is vastly different from the version shown last year, but won't give details yet. Still no date for its release yet, though they say it will be a little later than they planned.

I'm glad to see they're taking their time and trying to make it better. The previous version looked pretty bad.

The official web page has been updated with a system page:

http://www.grev.co.jp/mamonoro/

The system is pretty interesting, actually. You have a "curse" button you can use, and weak and strong curses. Depending on the enemy and the type of curse you inflict, the more bonus items pop out, giving you more points. There's also a timer in the upper left (when it reaches zero, a "death god" appears), and a curse meter on the bottom. Looks like a pretty decent scoring system, which definitely has me interested. There are also "world" and "mission" modes to choose from. Hopefully there will be an X360 port.

KOMA

It's me or the chara design looks like puyo puyo fever?

Imhotep

Kaneda

Played it a little today and didn't care for it much. I like seeing this type of game being made, but I don't like the PC-ish graphics.

GaijinPunch

Where'd you play it?  I'm much more interested in finding an Ilvello in my neighborhood.

Kaneda

At HEY. They have Ilvello too, which I really hated.

Mamoro-kun seems to be pretty popular, if HEYs clientelle is any indication. There's almost always a line, which is something I can't say for any other game there currently (although there is only one cab).

GaijinPunch

I liked Ilvello for what it's worth.  I like the campy yet ugly art style, and if you give it a chance, it's fun.  There's a bit much going on though.

Mission 3 video.
Don't know what to think of it yet to be honest, at least the bullet patterns look somewhat nice. Is it just me or do the stages look VERY short btw?

EOJ

I think that vid looks great. I was quite surprised at the CAVE-y bullet patterns, and more than that, it has very CAVE-y slowdown. Really hope this game gets a port now.
