World record histories

Espgaluda 2: http://minamo.gozaru.jp/espg2/espg2_data_score.html
Battle Garegga: http://mtlayk.web.fc2.com/GareScore/TopFr.htm

Any other pages like these? Really interesting to see how the top scorers slowly progressed through these games and what they started out with.

There's also this page on cowboy.ikaruga, which is somewhat related.

DoDonPachi

Amazing how long the DDP record has lasted with how popular the game is.

I'm impressed that all the links in this thread still work except for the DDP one. Has anyone found more pages like this?

Not shmup related, but if you find video game wr history interesting, check out the youtuber "Summoning Salt" (terrible name, great channel). He puts together videos of mostly speed-run world records, but there is at least one for score-play (donkey kong). Very well researched and it's fascinating watching how the approach to a game can change so radically over the years. It's a shame there isn't something similar for shmups, but I'd imagine it would be a lot harder to document how shmup scores evolve over time, as it's a bit more subtle.
