Pink sweets pcb sold on Ebay from China for 1500 usd.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/PINK-SWEETS-IBARA-SOREKARA-CAVE-CV1000B-ARCADE-JAMMA-PCB-Japan-RARE-/113594372556?nordt=true&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m43663.l10137

I'm late on this, but for the record this one actually sold for a "best offer" price, so it was below $1500. I wish ebay listed the final sell price in the completed auctions section.

Anyway this was quite a beat-up PCB. I'm surprised it still works.

Akai Katana mint boxed kit + poster sold for 488,000 yen at Suruga-ya.

https://www.suruga-ya.jp/product/detail/180901734001

The last one (also at Suruga-ya) sold for 468,000 yen (no poster) a few months ago.

I snagged a screenshot of the price before the sale. I'm trying to do this from now on for the pricier kits.

Very interesting price on that Espgaluda auction. Haven't seen one that low in a long time. I wonder if all the converted PGM carts out there are starting to take a toll on the original PCB price.

It sure seems like it, the same guy is having trouble selling a Ketsui for $1000 on the forums and ebay.  A Chinese seller on ebay is also dumping out PGM boots for $144 each, for people that only care about playing the game it might be an easy choice.

How is the quality of those PGM conversions anyway?  Are they exactly the same as the originals or do they have differences in gameplay, slowdown, etc?

I haven't played them myself, but I have heard from people who have that they are exactly the same in regard to gameplay (and slowdown, etc). It's the same PGM hardware, after all.

Updated as best as I can after the hiatus. Basically did a completed listing search on YAJ for the last couple months.

Still wishing there were some way to record those sales from stores in some meaningful way... I also wish (and I know it's unreasonable) to have a site that will archive completed listings so that I don't have to screenshot everything...

I provide a link to all the Suruga-ya stuff after it has sold. For the last AK kit I also provided a screenshot of the price before it was sold. I think that's enough. If you still don't want to put the suruga-ya stuff in there I'll make a separate file and do it myself. Just ignoring all of these sales is not very constructive.

Also you listed the DFK BL PCB sold on shmups as 3300 Euros but it sold for 3000 Euros.  :righton:

I'll take some time today to add those Suruga-ya items. The main issue is that they list the price until it sells, and eventually the page disappears. If I were to screenshot before it sells, then that's not indicative of the actual going rate because I don't know if it will sell; in fact, even if I know it will sell, the price they listed on the site isn't necessarily the price that it sells for.

Mostly, for me, it's just about the "proof." I don't want to become sirarthurahf where I just say, "Oh that Cave board? That sold for $6400 in a private sale that will remain anonymous." So if I ever have to put something in the spreadsheet that has no source, it eventually becomes questionable whether it truly happened.

I bookmark all the listings and check Suruga-ya every day. So every price I've said a game has sold for is accurate. FWIW. Another idea: You could add links to my posts in this thread stating the price for each game. That would be some "source", at least.

Suruga-ya does put games on sale for 24 hours occasionally (5-20% off), though they do not do that for the high-end stuff (anything over 300,000 yen, pretty much). For those, they tend to drop the price permanently by 20-30k yen every few months if it continues to remain unsold. I keep up-to-date on this stuff, of course.  :righton:
