CAVE 2006 (PCB)

Rules: no continues, and default live stock, difficulty, and extends. Submit in the order shown in the table. The PCB has separate rankings for each character in all 3 modes, so I've set up similar rankings here.

Key for all tables:
SCORE ? NAME ? STAGE (LxX for ALL scores) ? Abnormal/Normal

LxX for ALL scores indicates how many spare lives you finished the game with (for example, if you finish the game with 2 spare lives, list it as Lx2, if you finish the game with no spare lives, list it as Lx0)

Decided to open up this ranking as I have the PCB on the way! I've imported members' scores from the old thread on shmups. My Maniac scores are so awful it's quite embarrassing!  :laugh: I only played the game for about 3-4 weeks, though.

Does anyone else here actually have this game?

I tried out Original again. Crappy run, but good enough for first place. I'm happy to have broken 100mil as well:

I put a collection of 1.0 maniac vids up in Ura loop. Not my runs, but it will give you a good idea what 1.0 is about.

Here's my first Ultra score.  :righton:

ULTRA MODE - RECO
43,445,198 - EOJ - Stage 2 - Normal

Made it to the st2 midboss. Abnormal Palm is worthless in ver 1.0, but Normal Palm and Normal Reco are more powerful than in ver 1.5, so it's quite fun.

Almost 1CC'd Maniac mode. Got to the last boss with 2 spare lives, but didn't use my bombs effectively during the fight. Got through Stage 5 with only one death.

Okay, I'm finding the balance between stage and boss (in terms of difficulty) really bad.  Stages don't give me too many problems. The boss fights are a bitch though.  Would definitely like a better bomb.  Fun though, nonetheless.

Yeah.  It was a bad run, too.  Dumb death on stage 3.  Another one somewhere on stage 4.
Got to the boss w/ 3 remains and no bombs. So, I guess I did okay.  Died pretty early on in the
first bar of life though.

I'll play Maniac for a bit I guess, so I can participate on the scoreboard.
