New Cave history book coming soon

Will be released on 8/14 at the Cave festival for 5000 yen. It's 230 pages, and includes background info, developer notes, and so on about all 26 titles Cave has released in the Arcades.

Hopefully it'll be a quality hardback with lots of artwork. Long overdue IMO.

Maybe the response to that one Arcadia with the Cave history was good enough that they decided to print their own book?

Anyway, if I had access to this I would be all up ons. Of course I have to be the first to say, as expected from one of us, that maybe now that Cave is doing some int'l stuff that they might print an English version...... Yeah right

Looks great although I've already spent $65 on a 200 page book with a lot of pictures recently, that's the nature of cult things though.

With this and the 2-for-1 superplay DVD, I'm definitely going to this one. If they allow more than one sold per customer I'll try to grab a spare copy or two.

I think they are 3-per, and my alotment of DVDs & books are taken... and then some. :/
I will probably only keep the book.

Maybe you could translate a bit out of it? Hmm?

What time are you going to go? I might have a few beers in my office in Roppongi and walk down there about 3AM or so... that'll be a 2 hour queue and should be only about halfway through the line. 5AM (first train) is when all the fisting starts.

I'm going to be staying in Iogi which is on the Seibu Shinjuku line, so I'm gonna have to go by train. I'm thinking around 8 or 9 I'll leave and get there before 10. I don't care about waiting in line as long as I get a copy.

If there's anything particularly interesting in the book I'd be happy to have a crack at the translating.

And if I can, I'll buy a few copies of the book if there are a couple people here that need one.

Well, I'm still on the fence on exactly when I'll go. Last time I paid someone to queue for me. But, economy is making me feel the pinch now. Now, w/ that being said, they've done a great job of making sure the new stuff has plenty of stock. But of course, it'd just be my luck that they sell out of the one thing I want.

The upside of the camp out is you can literally be done by noon and go home. Otherwise, you're there all day. Also, rain aside, it's not so bad in the summer. Nights are kind of cool... but that last hour is rather brutal.
