Title: The end all be all Cave Shwag thread
Post by: GaijinPunch on May 18, 2008, 11:45:59 AM
2008.05.18:
I will strive to keep this up to date, with links to pictures where applicable.  If you have anything to add, feel free to reply in the thread.  Corrections also welcome.  Going through this list I've found I have plenty of this stuff (and have even scanned it) without adding it to gamengai.  Shame on me.  Anyways, here's the preliminary list.  I don't have PCBs, or their contents listed.  I figure World of Arcades is better for that.

Enjoy.

There was a DOJ soundtrack given out to Arcadia DOJ high score winners.

There are two types of MMP flyers.  The second type has the orange strips extend all the way to the sides of the flyer.

There is a pink sweets flyer with the date 2006 on the right side of the flyer.

There are also some trial versions of cave games for the consoles.  I know there is a ddp one (and maybe more).

When I get some time I will try to add some more stuff or send GP some pics.

hey GP did you ever look in my DDP book ?

its almost 100 pages, about 20 are ofcourse a scoring guide but the rest must be interviews and such surrounding the game?, sometimes not knowing japanese sucks :/

Interesting.  You have pictures of this?  Very nice.

QuoteThere are two types of MMP flyers.  The second type has the orange strips extend all the way to the sides of the flyer.
I've got the second one somewhere, just need to dig it up.  Can we assume one was an AOU Show handout, and the other sent to operators?

QuoteThere is a pink sweets flyer with the date 2006 on the right side of the flyer.
Is it on the stiff paper?  flimsy?  I've only one listed, even though there are two (sort of).

Quotehey GP did you ever look in my DDP book ?
Yeah... it was pretty much just strategy.  I didn't see any interview material or comments from game creators, so I didn't bother.

If only zak or superpang would show their cave shwag....  :)

I sent GP some pics of the DOJ contest soundtrack as well as othe things I mentioned.  Hopefully others can contribute as well.

I have an orange cave alarm clock that arrived with a guwange pcb I bought.  I will try to take a picture of it soon and send it to GP.

I've got a mushi futari / espgaludaII fan. It's not a folding fan, and has mushifutari on side and esp2 on the other. No idea where it was originally handed out or sold. Got it on ebay, but I can't bring up the image because it's over 90 days old, i'll take a pic of it soon and send it to GP. Speaking of fans, i noticed the guwange/esprade sensu fan is not listed. It came with the soundtrack. Thanks for the list GP

I've not added anyhting from the last two shows, or the 360 releases, so it's outdated.  I'l get to it at some point.

They started adding so much shit, it got overwhelming.  Most of it I don't have pics of anyway.

To quote one of the long standing members of our community, "I'll have to draw the line at the nickers".

As GP said there is just too much stuff to keep track of.  Also with Cave reprinting certian items, their worth has decreased dramatically.  A mint DOJBL poster used to cost a fortune, now its not worth more than $100 max.

I have a couple of OST questions.

I see that there are combo disks, like DOJ and Ketsui.  It would appear that obtaining this disk would be superior to owning the 2 individual disks for those games, as there are extra tracks included.  Aside from the collectability, am I missing something here?

Also, is the standalone Ibara OST superior to the CD that is packed in with the Insanity DVD?

Thanks!

Brent

AFAIK, there is no stand alone OST for DOJ or Ketsui. None of the CDs have the exact same track, either it's a remix or from arrange mode.

There is a combo OST that contains both DOJ and Ketsui. Furthermore you can buy a combo OST w/ESPGaluda Arrange & DOJ Arrange OSTs as well as a combo disc featuring DOJ & Ketsui remix OST's. It really got confusing, mind you. I didn't even know about the latter until a couple of weeks ago.

This list hasn't been updated in some time, but does anyone know if Mushihimesama Cave Matsuri Ver. 1.5 ever got a soundtrack CD release?
Title: Re: The end all be all Cave Shwag thread
Post by: Muchi Muchi Spork on June 14, 2012, 04:54:43 PM
Yeah there was a cd release labeled "Arrange Album" but the music is the normal 1.5 version, not the new totally different Arrange music on the X360 release. So that's a bit confusing. It may be slightly different from the pcb but I can't be sure because they downsample so much for the pcbs that a lot is lost.  :'(

Check the Ura Loop later if you want.
