Title: The Stuff You've Bought thread (with pictures, ideally)
Post by: EOJ on May 15, 2008, 02:18:58 AM
Yeah, it's one of those threads where we post the recent cool stuff we've bought.
Nearly every forum has one, so I thought why not.

I'll start! Today in the mail I got a big package from Play-asia:

-Japanese Xbox 360 Arcade pack
-Raiden Fighters Aces
-Lost Odyssey (Chinese language version, so I can practice my Chinese)
-Hori Xbox 360 turbo pad

Thankfully the Xbox 360 is one of the newer Falcon models (as evidenced by the 175w on the power brick), manufactured in Feb 2008, so hopefully it won't crap out on me in a few months. Too bad it's still loud as fuck. My PS3 doesn't make a peep, but this thing is like a leafblower. I don't remember my previous Xbox 360 being so loud.:whyioughtta:

I've only played Raiden Fighters Aces a bit, but so far I'm pretty impressed. The graphics look fine on my LCD, and the port is superb. Haven't had it freeze or any other glitches yet either. I need someone to make me an RGB cable so I can play this on my Sony PVM monitor though...

The hori pad is awesome by the way! The d-pad is superb.

ok I'll bite,

I recently picked up the first 4 Silent Hill games for Ps1 and 2 cheap on ebay because I felt like revisiting the series and haven't played any of them since they each came out. It's been a fun ride so far and since all I've played for the last month is Futari, it's been a big change of pace.
I've also picked up gta4 for ps3 like all the other drones. ;) I like it but its definately overhyped imo.

Astro Boy for GBA, hoorah! Got a good price too, and it's pretty minty. The game itself is cool, kind of like Alien Soldier. Makes me want Treasure to do a proper Alien Soldier sequel fo DS.

Been playing a whole lot of Disgaea, Super Paper Mario and Persona 3 FES, all of which I just got in the last few weeks. FES is great, but focuses alot on the dungeon crawling stuff, which is great, but I did really enjoy the dating sim stuff from the original game.
Trying to get Futari 1.5 at the mo...:D

This past weekend I had purchased:

The Monkey King: The Legend Begins for the Nintendo Wii?
Let me just say the game is EASY on defaults, I was able to 1LC both normal and story modes.

for EOJ:
is this the Hori pad you have for the Xbox 360?

Perhaps I may purchase one?

Yes, I have that Hori pad. It's really good for 2D games! About 100x better than the standard X360 pad's d-pad.

[Etrian Odyssey II]
I'm waiting for mine to arrive from Amazon.  I've heard enough reviews from the kind of people whose reviews I respect that the original was good, but I don't feel like shelling out the $40+ it commands on eBay these days.  I suppose I could have just bought EOII from the local Gamestop but I don't feel like going there any more than I can help.  Super Saver Shipping to the rescue!

Maybe I can finally finish Izuna in the meantime.

So I have an HRAP 3 which I put a Seimitsu stick in and am not happy at all with it...did you wind up modding yours?  How do you like it?  My Seimitsu is really stiff and gets me in trouble on console versions of really precise danmaku shmups.  Gonna swap it out for a Sanwa soon, I want my HRAP3 to feel like what they've got in the arcades here in Japan.

I haven't modded it yet, I'm pretty happy with the HRAP:SA i bought, feels a bit tighter than my old HRAP. One of the main reason I bought them was that my old one got "stuck", it would keep moving even though the stick was centered, I thought it was micro-switches that was worn out or something, but turns out it was my ps2 to pc adapter that did it.

How much have you paid for yours?
To be true i only digged in it once, and didnt play it any further these days, so all i can say up to now is, that it is the most beautiful game on the DS, but nothing to the storyline/gameplay itself.
I'll be dedicating to it after i'm finished with Xenosaga, promised

Mine was just the standard $29.99, with free shipping.  I probably could have gotten it a bit cheaper, but I don't like to buy used DS or GBA games off of Amazon or eBay with the amount of Nintondo counterfeits there are floating about.

Etrian Odyssey II came today, and I gave it a shot.  The reviews aren't joking when they say the game is balls-hard; my party got completely slaughtered by my fourth enemy encounter.  It's pretty fun though, in that "oh NOW I know what I did wrong.  Let's try again!" sort of way.

I play my handhelds more than anything else thanks to the 2 hour commute on the bus each day.
Title: Re: Your latest video game purchases
Post by: gsl on August 15, 2008, 05:17:47 PM
I've never played the original, though I'm going to keep my eye out for it if I can find it for under the $40+ most Atlus titles tend to command.  The game's a sequel in the gameplay sense but not so much in the way of storyline (not that there's much anyways), and I've never really felt like I'm missing something that was explained in the first one.

The first handful of battles are indeed a bit tough; basically you're thrown in one end of the first maze and told to make your way back to the entrance, while of course mapping out everything along the way.  With limited chances to heal and whatnot, it's a bit tough, but after you start figuring out your plan of attack in battles (As in which monsters to concentrate on first, which of your party is most effective in finishing the monsters off in a hurry, etc.) it gets a bit simpler.  The game is great for on-the-go, as you're never really stuck in any place you can't just save it and turn it off.  Besides, after you've finished the first quest, you're pretty much on your own, and the gameplay progression goes something like: go into first level; kill monsters until party is low on health and healing items; return to town to sell loot, buy weapons, and rest at inn; rinse and repeat.  It's nothing you'll be too sucked into that you won't want to bring it out on the bus for fear of being in the middle of something important when your stop comes.  All in all, I really like it.  The gameplay is very very oldschool and pretty challenging, but the graphics and music make it a pleasure to slog through the same dungeon numerous times.

----
I also picked up Castle of Shikigami III the other day for the Wii.  I remember giving it a go a few times in my local arcade in Japan, but always left it for the more familiar part II.  Now that I'm not paying to give it a shot, it's really a lot of fun--solid, and the same balance of difficulty and grazing opportunities.  Sadly (or gladly for some, maybe) the story translation and voice acting are actually reasonably decent this time around; I was always amused by the horror that was Castle Shikigami II's translation.  It put it in the same "so bad it's kinda funny" league as Plan 9 from Outer Space, in my opinion.

Wow  :o - didn't take too long to get those back - eh, EOJ? Good pick up on the DFK - I'd been eyeing that - but I have to keep funds for a vaca comming up soon. But I did have enough to get this: a Sega Aero Table
(http://i243.photobucket.com/albums/ff1/drboom/aerotable1.jpg)
Got to replace the sticks (bat tops - ugh!), buttons and cp. I have a cp comming from mastercello on shmups and also need to find someone to fix the monitor pcb - the pincushion adjustment pot (or some transistors around it) are dead. Pretty stoked about it - and I got a good deal on it too. It could use a paint job, but I'll worry about that when the newness wears off and I can take it apart and work on it.

Wow, that's a cheap ass Pink Sweets ;)

I opted to keep mine in the end. I knew I'd end up needing to replace it at some point.

I ended up buying zaks progear kit. God I've missed this game. It's going straight into the Astro as soon as it arrives. Death Smiles leaves progear returns.

I'm happy with that deal :)

Dragon Quest IV (DS). Loving it.

I also have Muchi Muchi Pork on the way. Figured I'd give the game another try.

DQ IV was pretty good, but the open world last chapter is frusterating as no one really tells you where to go. You have to ask like 50 NPC's what the deal is before anyone tells you, 'oh, you may want to go to this mountain over here for that piece of equipment...' - kind of a bummer, especially as the rest of the game is excellent.

Playing Chrono Trigger for the first time on the DS and loving it.
Recently bought Castlevania for the GBA and love playing it on my micro.
Got Persona 2 recently as well - prety good, got to get more time in on it.
Really want to get Muchi Muchi Pork. Next on the list...

Ugh, a ton.  Broke my hand early this month so the only thing I can play are 360 games.

Last Remnant, Otomedius, Gears of War 2 & 1, then Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for DS.

It's like an FF12 done by the Saga Team, with major technical problems.  If you can get past the really problematic visuals, and then realize that this game was basically pushed out the gate six months before it should've been, then you can probably enjoy it.  The battle system, world map and the rest of the game are really good once you're about four hours into the game.

Speaking of PS3, anyone play Valkyria Chronicles yet? This was BIG on my list to get, but I have had to get a PC-Engine Duo-R to play Rondo of Blood. PSP post kinda sucks - too much blurring and its such a good game.

I just got some computer equipment from a friend that's upgraded my PC into something relatively modern: dual-core 2.4ghz Opteron, 2GB RAM, 512MB ATi X1950 graphics card.  I've just been going wild with PC games that I missed out on for either being stuck with my laptop in Japan, having old equipment, or both.  I'm really into STALKER at the moment (and absolutely loving it) and have Fallout 3 and Bioshock waiting on deck.

Yes, like everyone else mentioned, the ESPGaluda port is really good.  I'd recommend it.

Also, just got a very nice custom joystick and a hacked and wired xbox 360 pcb to go in it so I can actually enjoy playing shooters on my 360.  The Hori DOA stick I had was a joke.

It's completely awesome. I'm a big SMT fan, though I haven't played all of the games, but I did play P3 all the way through and this game takes those mechanics and further refines them. The battle menu is tighter, the animations take just a little less time and the story is fantastic. A solid 10/10.
Beg, borrow or steal to afford it this X-Mas.

Beautiful, except for how the HDTV makes oldschool consoles look like shit.  But the design of the Duo-R really stands the test of time--I wish my Supergrafx didn't look so much like an early '90's monstrosity.

It's come out on plenty of other systems since and no doubt in versions closer to the arcade, but I always had a blast with the PCE version of Gradius.  And of course, you with your shiny CD drive can nab Gradius II as well.

Got Sapphire (bootleg) a little while ago and finally got an Arcade Card for the PC-Engine, so I played it for the first time last night. Pretty underwhelming. Bad art direction, horrid shooting sound effects - They were so bad that I stopped shooting whenever I could so I didn't have to listen to them.
Got Summer Carnival '92 - Alzadick as well and it is fantastic. Thinking of putting on a shooting event at my place once I get my HRAP in (on its way) and doing a Summer Carnival '92 contest with Recca and Alzadick.

Just got Crimson Gem Saga for the PSP. I've played about an hour, and it's excellent so far. A fun, simple, old school RPG. Wish I could turn off the awful English voice acting, reduce the voice volume to zero, or switch to the Japanese voices. Instead, I play the game with the volume at zero. I don't feel like paying 2x the price for the JP version ("Garnet Chronicles"), so this will have to do.

Bayonetta JP version
Forza 3 JP version
Williams Pinball Hall of Fame US version

I'm REALLY enjoying Bayonetta and the Pinball Hall of Fame (Medieval Madness being one of my all time favorite machines), I still haven't had the chance to play forza 3.

I've only heard good things about Bayonetta. I'm still reluctant, as I haven't really enjoyed any game like it (such as Ninja Gaiden 2 XBox 360 or the DMC games). Do you think I'd like it anyway?

As for me, I picked up Lunar Harmony of Silver Star for the PSP last night. It's completely awesome.

It is very much like Devil May Cry, except infinitely more satisfying in terms of combo-ing up/using magic to unleash bigger attacks.  The actual battles look and play much smoother and all of the weapons I've encountered so far have been great.  Way more interesting attacks to unlock as well.

Personally I found DMC and Ninja Gaiden II to be the only 3D action games I've been into enough to spend a lot of time playing, although I found both frustratingly flawed in one way or the other (camera adjustment, unintuitive controls, mega recycling, etc).  I'm only about 4 hours into Bayonetta but it has presented none of the flaws of the two games mentioned.  I've actually had to force myself to hold off playing because of all the schoolwork I've got at the moment but I can definitely see myself playing through it enough times to unlock everything.  I can't remember the last game that I enjoyed enough to do so with.

Audio Technica ATH-AD700 headphones, Umineko no naku koro ni episodes 1 through 5 (5 is separate and 1-4 are bundled into one disc), Kirby Superstar Ultra Deluxe DS, a Hori clear case and the Saga 2 DSi.

I haven't had time for much of this shit, honestly. I've been slugging through Episode 2 of Umineko though. Really interesting game.

I suppose you won't know until the end, but is it better than IV?  I enjoyed that for about three quarters of the game until the part where they tell you, "Okay, find these four or five items in any order to proceed.  Oh, and for one of them, we hope you made careful notes of all those random hints you found in bookcases across the world, because you'll need them.  Don't remember the hints?  Well, you can just backtrack and re-read them--you DO remember where you found them, right?"

I won't know until I play through it.  ;) So far V is still the best one on the DS, so I'd recommend you get that one.

I'll look into picking it up once I've cleared a few more unfinished games from my plate.  Still need to beat Etrian Odyssey II (as one example); the gameplay is such that I can pick it up and play it for four or five nights in a row, then set it down for two weeks and be able to jump right in where I left off.  Not many RPGs can make that claim, especially if they're more story-heavy.

On games I recently purchased, I finally picked up Raiden IV once Gamestop dropped the price to $19.99.  I'd been on the fence with it for a while, and that was the final convincing I needed.  Having put some time into it, I feel sorta bad for not getting it at the original $40 price point--it's certainly challenging and well put together.

It blew my mind logging into Steam last night and seeing that somehow STALKER: Call of Pripyat had snuck quietly onto US shelves without my noticing.  I grabbed a physical copy in town today and will get to playing it after I replace the IDE cable that's keeping my DVD drive on the fritz, and after finishing Psychonauts.  Shadow of Chernobyl was probably the most amazing PC game I've played in years (caveat: haven't finished Bioshock), and while Fallout 3 was really impressive, I think I enjoyed SoC a lot more, warts and all.  I didn't hate Clear Sky as much as most people, but it was definitely a net step backward from the first.  Reviews have CoP as being a return to the style of the first while retaining a lot of the good mechanics of Clear Sky, so I'm not sure how it could get any better.  Oh wait, if I had a DX11 or even DX10 card.  Then it probably couldn't get any better.  Maybe with a quad-core Phenom.

Yikes, that was fast.  Milestone just not your style?  I need to put more time into it; it's been enjoyable but the Wii is unfortunately on the living room TV which is old and blurry and the 360 is dominating the sharper (component enabled) TV in the office.  Still, I really enjoy Radilgy, and Karous looks to have a neat system as well.  Had the Chaos Field release for Gamecube for a while, and meh...

Yeah, I don't dig the Milestone stuff. Lord knows I've given their games enough tries. I owned all these games on the DC back in the day, couldn't get into them then, tried again now, and I still feel nothing but "blah" when I play them.

I'll try Ilvelo when it comes out in April, though.  :righton:

I had to resort to ebay, got it for about $70 shipped. Used but in excellent shape. Worth every penny! You really need to get this game, it's the best RPG on the system (unless all you care about are "next gen graphics" or you hate turn-based RPGs), probably the rarest too. I'm loving every minute of it. It's not perfect, but it's incredibly fun and the story is free from the usual cliched JRPG garbage.

Quoteunless all you care about are "next gen graphics" or you hate turn-based RPGs),

whilst i enjoy Fallout 3 etc, i specifically miss turn-based RPGs - at least on next gen systems, the portables still have a good smattering (including the god like Eterian Odyssey).

Awesome, will add it to the look out list. Thanks :)

QuoteI really should get this.

the gameplay itself is pretty awful. QTE's are bad as it is, but QTE's with out the ability to die ? it results in things playing out a little different but to date nothing seemingly significant has altered about the game.

Story itself and the way it is presented though is pretty good so far.

Finished Heavy Rain tonight - all in all, quite enjoyed it. Seems there's a lot of different ways the ending can play out.

Core gameplay is still a bit lacking but the story and the way it was told was solid enough to warrant me staying up late to finish it.

First of all my US DS game finally arrived. I only bought it for the faceplate, as I don't have a US X360 and I already got the Japanese DS Platinum Version

Then yesterday, my HRAP EX SE arrived. I prefer it's stick to the SFIV TE, but I prefer the Sanwa buttons.

I thought I was a die-hard Sanwa man, as they were all I ran into in the arcades I visited, and they're what I slapped in my DC/supergun Agetek stick.  I got the HRAP EX SE back in November, and now I'm having a hard time with going back to Sanwa buttons.  They take a nice light touch, but there's a really good balance on the feedback of the Seimitsu's--not too sticky, not too touchy.

Still think I prefer Sanwa sticks, though, not that I can find anything bad with the Seimitsu.  In any case, enjoy that controller, as it's downright wonderful.

All really nice games. I got Bayonetta for super cheap from Amazon's black friday deals, and it's a blast to play. So far Tomoyo After (the game on the far right) is a surprisingly good adventure game (it has tactical RPG battles in it too).

Recent pickups:

Two Famitsu X360 magazines - one with a huge DSIIX spread, miniposter, and Cave developer interview (with many other developers). The other is the DFK issue, with a nice DFK spread, and some cool pics of 5pb's Bullet Soul that I haven't seen elsewhere. I will be taking pics/scans of this stuff and translating it for the main page soon, so stay tuned!  :righton:

Also got FFXIII International for the JP X360. Preordered it over a month in advance from ncsx.com but the bastards didn't give me any of the first print bonus items (episode 1 book, corridor of memories book). That's the last time I order anything that is supposed to include a 'first print bonus' from ncsx.com.

Ketsui Rubik's Cube. Probably the cheapest and shittiest one I've ever owned, but it's still cool. I also got a Deathsmiles poster and 3 half B2 size mushi futari posters. No, they still only ship to Japan, but i've been making use of JapanToDoor.com as a relatively cheap forwarding service. Basically i log on to Cave Shop, buy my items, ship them to my JTD address and when they arrive JTD ships them to me. There's usually a $5 USD invoicing fee and a handling charge based on weight. So far it's added like $20 at most to my shipping. It's a huge help when buying stuff off Amazon that's got a major sale (like 60%+ off).

This order was just expensive due to the size of the posters. Most of the cost was EMS shipping. In this case:

3200 JPY shipping exchanged to $40.15 + $5 Invoicing + $12.55 handling.

Yeah, it's kinda stupid, but I don't really use the SLG3000 in the cabinet, as I prefer the clean 24kHz image. I just happened to have it installed when I snapped this picture (installing the SLG3000 takes less than a minute, switching the monitor from 24->15Khz takes at least 10 minutes) as I tried to see the results for Ketsui and DOJ BL Extra.

Sounds lovely.  I've been meaning to overhaul the desktop for some time, but I have a ton of other projects that can use the money first, no matter how much I want to finally land a DX10 card. I spend more time on the laptop with work anyway, and I've been toying with the idea of replacing the DVD drive with its current HDD and then getting an SSD for the OS and programs, but the promised boost in speed isn't enough to convince me to drop the cash on one yet.

Steer clear of the OCZ SSDs for a bit.  There is a class action brewing, as they've swapped out the NAND that was being used for crappier, slower stuff and not changed the model numbers or anything.  There's currently no way to tell what you've got without cracking it open, or verifying through poor benchmarks.

http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/showthread.php?84598-Drives-Shipping-With-25nm-NAND.-Q-amp-A

http://www.storagereview.com/ocz_vertex_2_25nm_review_oczssd22vtxe60g

General info about the new tech being used and why new isn't always better:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/4043/micron-announces-clearnand-25nm-with-ecc

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit:  I wanted to add my favorite exchange from the OCZ forums.  Man did they screw this up...

OCZ guy:  No, there is no way to identify the Nand on the drive without opening the drive.

Pissed off user:  What size screwdriver do we need to open the drive as you suggest?

OCZ guy:  Opening your drive voids the warranty, don't open the drive.

I found that pretty telling.

Yeah, I think it's still a fairly immature technology at this point.  For every article I read about the wonders of SSDs, I see another one talking about how soon the drive will start failing or how difficult it is to truly erase data forever etc.  Anandtech had a pretty excellent omnibus article a while back that was basically "SSDs for Dummies" and a heck of a read.  It pretty much convinced me that Intel was the manufacturer to stick to for the time being.

Wow, that's pretty disheartening.

It seems I was lucky and got older stock, mine came with 1.24 firmware and benched similarly to all reviews (=34nm) I've read.

EDIT: I just read your post's subject. How about CAVE-SSD?

Fixed.

The crazy thing is they want to hide behind their NAND supplier, that they can't control what is available to them.  The real issue is that they're riding the success of the existing reviews out there without alerting the buyer with a part number change, sticker, whatever.

Nice haul.

I've been on a bit of a hitch of my own lately.  Got an itch to play the GBC Zeldas, but realized I don't have a system that actually plays them (just a Game Boy Micro and a DS Lite), so I picked up an original GBA and a GameCube with a Game Boy Player.  Picked up Link's Awakening DX and Oracle of Seasons (gonna get Ages too, but I actually played that one before, so I wanna go with fresh experiences first).  And to add to the Zelda hitch, picked up the original on NES and LttP on SNES.  Played them both years ago, but never actually owned them.

And just to make sure I clear out my wallet, I bought Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on Amazon today =D

Ordered Blackmagic Intensity Pro. Pondered on the Shuttle but decided against because USB 3.0 is still quite dodgy, no native support on AMD platforms etc.

Going to do some replay capturing, having easily accessible files on a PC sure beats the clunky ingame viewing.

The seller even included a copy of a 70's Anime called "Belladonna Of Sadness" that I'm sure will be worth watching. The Blade is one of the best Asian films I've seen, so getting it in high quality with English subs is awesome!

Thanks. I also love the sloping top tube, it gives the bike a semi-pursuit look.

I purchased this as a complete bike (it's a somewhat customized Le Prince 2011 (http://leprince.fi/Le_Prince/purple.html)) but I intend to build something from scratch next winter once I have accumulated some knowledge and skill.

Nice bike, I like that style of frame a lot. I considered getting a similarly colored Cinelli Gazzetta but in the end decided not to as it would have required building it myself.

Wow, four monitors in storage! You're probably set for life.

I'd love to get a cab some day but they're hard to find in good condition and I don't have a lot of space for one (yet).

I still might pick up a Sony PVM/BVM monitor in the near future, though even with that I'll have trouble finding enough space. If this LCD setup is not to my liking, however, I'll go that other route.

Starting up a pcb is so direct and feels so clean. No loading, updating software, sign in etc etc like on consoles.

Now when I have been playing so much Cave Im looking into some other shmups, some of them are still quite cheap on pcb so I buy them for just trying them out, its always cool getting a new pcb in your hands.
I visited a Retro fair the other week and got to try out Raiden Fighters Jet on pcb and it was awesome, so now I bought a cart.

Just got these goodies in the mail today:

Mint condition NOS Muchi Muchi Pork POP (original from 2007, not the reprint):

What is the difference between the reprint and the original kit pop?

SDOJ Super Limited Edition. Brand new and sealed (though not anymore as I opened it up right after this pic was taken). Found it on YAJ. I wanted it mainly for the toresetsu (which I don't think was available elsewhere) and the art book.

Lovely.

I am importing the "standard" limited edition from YAJ as I type. Not a cheap game, but will be pleased to have it!

I've heard the colors are a bit different in the reprints.

Just arrived: brand new Sigma AV7000 Supergun + 9000TB controller (with JP21 RGB cable and Jamma harness).

I had one of these years ago and loved it to pieces, but had to sell it when I moved to Japan. This set is just as nice as my old one and this time I'm not selling.

Just waiting for my OSSC 1.6 to arrive then I'll be in business.  :righton:

Absolutely amazing. I am looking for one of these. I am based in Germany. Please get in touch [anyone] if you know of one for sale :)

They recently replaced the AV7000 and 9000TB with the 1AV and 3TB, so I would just buy those instead (they are basically the same thing in a slightly different look):

Appreciated (hello from Twitter btw!). So this would play a CAVE PCB? Recommend a "good value" one if I were to start? I hope this isn't thread de-railment :)

It's the best supergun out there. It plays pretty much any PCB you can find and is extremely reliable and easy to use.

IMO the four best CAVE PCBs if you want to spend $1000 or less are Ibara, Mushihimesama, Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 and Espgaluda 2. But if you like older stuff, you might want to look into Donpachi, ESP Ra.De and Espgaluda (all of which are still relatively affordable).

Thank you :)

I think I prefer the look of the older super gun stick, but this still looks ace. Futari would be good. I would love any of the dodonpachis as they're my bag. Going to look into this Super Gun thing a bit more :)

I bought a couple Japanese Switch JRPGs: Susanoh Nihon Shinwa RPG and Cosmic Fantasy Collection.

I never played the Cosmic Fantasy games before, but I've started on the first one and I really love it after a couple hours of play! Nice old school RPG with a decent challenge and a charming late '80s anime story.

One thing to note about the Cosmic Fantasy collection is there are no save states, so you can't cheese your way through the games. This is actually kind of refreshing in this day and age. You can configure the controls to your liking, choose among three screen display options (4:3 full, dot-by-dot, and 16:9 stretched), and peruse scans of the original instruction manuals, among other little bonuses.
