I hate to ask such a dumb question but what site do you go to pre-order and buy brand new pcbs. Thanks in advance.

EOJ

www.fujitacommunications.com (based in japan)
www.excellentcom.net (based in hong kong)
www.tops-game.jp (based in japan)

Those are the three I used over the years. I only bought new games from the first two - tops-game is a bit too pricey for that. They have decent used PCB deals from time to time, and their service is top notch.

You'll need to email excellentcom for their most recent price list.

I've had pretty good luck with the above, plus Legend.

If you are doing preorders I'd go with Fujita.  Legend seems to keep or have access to a decent amount of new old stock.  In general you won't get quite as crisp of a kit box, maybe due to their storage setup.  But they are reliable and a good source.

Excellent also has a strange setup that you need to be aware of.  They operate a store front intended for traditional arcade operators.  They do some weird "back door" sales with lower prices for hobby folks, if I understand it correctly.  I had a long IM chat one night with them about this.  Anyways you'll get better prices from the latter.  If I can dig up the info I'll post the e-mail address and AIM address for this.

Thanks for the quick responses guys, i'll check out this whole excellentcom stuff as well.

I browse these sites all the time but have never really bought anything from them... What are shipping prices generally like?

Not super recently, but within the past year..

I paid like $40 and got a PCB from Excellent like instantly. (UPS)
I paid ~$80-85 for full kits with poster from Fujita. (EMS)

Full kit from Legend was somewhere in between I think. (EMS)

They will also generally hit you for the 3-4% Paypal fee too.

How long does it usually take to get a reply from HKLegend?  I sent them an inquiry asking if they still had Ibara PCBs available 2 days ago, but haven't heard anything back yet.

It's highly variable and you may not get a reply.

I recall sending them something along the lines of "I will buy that" to an expensive quote and getting no reply.

Keep the communication as simple as possible with any of these vendors.  I've messed up by asking a tricky question and such.

Has anyone dealt with "Arcade Game Boards?" URL: http://www.arcade-game-sales.com

I guess they're located in Australia, but they have great deals on some games... Mushi Futari for $300, and the Black Label for $850. Shipping is roughly $85-150 from Australia, but that is more than offset by the major discount.

Any feedback? Otherwise I may just order one of these.

I've bought from their China location several times and it always went well:

That's the best price I've ever seen on Futari. Better hurry.

brentsg

There was a super nice Futari 1.5 full kit on YAJ a few weeks back that went for the equivalent of $325 before proxy fees and such.

ookitarepanda

Well I bought it. I'll let you guys know how my $300 Mushi Futari is.

ROFLCOPTER

Got my "Mushi Futari" today. But uh...

MUSHIHIMESAMA 1 KIT

Muchi Muchi Spork

Is it a kit full? If so that's a great deal. Great deal either way actually. If it's the version with 2 periods in the bootup date, a friend of mine is looking for that one if you want to sell it. It's a fun game, I have it booted up in my supergun right now trying to 1CC the Maniac mode.

ookitarepanda

Sorry bro, not a bugfixed version. It's always funny when I hear "bug" fixed referring to a game about killing bugs. But yeah, I think I will probably keep this one.

Terramax

Heya, I'm looking for an original Mushihimesama PCB, either private on forums or on pcb stores. The cheapest I've found is the $450 so far, has anyone seen cheaper recently?

What is this YAJ store? I can't figure what it's an abbreviation of.

Terramax

Ah, right, I don't think I have the know how to use Yahoo! JP.

Muchi Muchi Spork

I can teach you how to use it but you might not end up paying less than $450. This is the pcb category:

http://list4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/2084047782-category-leaf.html

Use the search box by searching for games in Japanese. Here's a Mushi-Sama:

Sign up for an account with a deputy service like Celga:

http://www.celga.com/

Read their rules and fees and that's basically it, you sign in and fill out a simple form for each auction and pay them with paypal once for deposit, then if they win another to complete the payment, then a third time to pay for international shipping. It gets pricier than you might expect but it's a good resource. I could find the board at some shops too if you want. Like here:

Terramax

Thanks. Indeed, the one for sale at 30,000 yen is pricier than the $450. I'll keep an eye out though.
