Dodonpachi restarting problem

I have a dodonpachi international board that I got from a friend a few months back. It's in great shiny condition and it played fine for a long time. However recently the game will restart if it goes to the title screen either when on demo (and the announcer doing his yelling) or after inserting a coin. It also resets after blowing up the third boss. No idea how this happened. Has anyone experienced this with a DDP board before? I know the PGM Cave games have their demon switch that will restart the game but I don't think there's anything like that on this pcb.

It doesn't restart at any other point but those listed above so I can't tell if it's a ROM issue or the sound at those points maxes out the board and makes it funny. I haven't changed my voltage at all in the cab, and it's currently on loan to another buddy who's going to test it on his cab. Don't think it's a grounding issue since everything else seems to be working fine.

If there's any other info I could provide that would help get me a solution, lemme know! Thanks.

What about the +5v? Did you check it so your power supply hasn't started to fail?

It was fine last I checked not long ago. Any other game (including the very old and very new) works fine in the astro. I'll get to checking anyway when I get back from all my stuff today.

In the meantime I lent it to a buddy to check and it has the same problem on his cab. Restarts as you blow up stage 3 boss.
