I've opened a Youtube channel today:

The purpose of this channel is to archive all of the old videos I've accumulated over the years, many of which are no longer available anywhere online. This includes strategy videos, location test videos, and other related videos.

I am happy to upload any other content donated by members here, including recent replays of your own high score runs.

UPDATE (January 2021): I am now also uploading high-scoring replays from the Japanese Xbox Live leaderboards, as well as my own replays.

Video #2 is an excellent stage 1 pattern in Mushihimesama Futari Ver 1.5's Maniac Mode, with Abnormal Reco, by the player TSUMANNE. Over 50 million points are had by the end of the stage.

Deathsmiles Mega Black Label (PCB) - Rosa - 7,705,970,504

Unknown player.

This is the highest scoring replay I've found thus far with Rosa on the original PCB. This player gets over 3 billion in the first six stages with two Lv2 stages and only one Lv999 stage. It's very difficult to find any good videos with Rosa, so this one is great to have.

Some exciting news for the New Year! I bought an Elgato HD 60 S capture device. With this, I will begin to record and upload lots of high-scoring replays from the Japanese Xbox Live leaderboards. I will also finally be able to record and upload my own X360 replays (and potentially PCB scores too -- we'll see!).

The first video is a special one, 1.69 trillion in DFK BL with B-Strong, by SYU! This is by far the highest-scoring replay for this ship-type available anywhere, and just a tiny bit below the WR on the PCB. I recorded it at 1080p and 60fps, but I'm not sure how many others I will do at this high quality because the file size is nearly 7GB and it took a couple hours to upload and process. Probably will switch to 720p and 30fps in the future.

Maybe this can save you some work or helps to calibrate your focus. A second mirror surely doesn't hurt either!

Thanks for that link. I'll check it and make sure not to record/upload anything already there. I plan to upload a new replay nearly every day (well, for the near future at least).

I also have a lot of good replays saved on my X360 that are no longer on the leaderboards, so those will be good to upload.

I've found 720p/60fps to be the best for high quality with a manageable file size, so all the replays from here on out will be in that format.

Thanks for bringing this back!

I remember when the PS4 came out with the Share button and had the functionality to upload stuff to YT, my first thought was about replays of games like these. But yeah, that Elgato HD60 is a great tool, I just never had the patience to rip videos to upload anywhere.

It's also a bummer that the leaderboard-replay feature has been absent from a lot of the Cave ports. It was always nice to see "1sissy" (as the French say) style play where someone may be good enough to beat a game but not superplay. Those kinds of strategies have often really helped me understand the intermediate points of a game, which in turn helps me appreciate those badass replays by the ultra-talented players even more.
