Good scores, man. Still mystifying to me why no Japanese players are into this game, especially now with that goofy loop requirement fixed for 1.01. This is Cave's best game, I dare say.

It's been about three years since I last played Muchi, so I'm a bit rusty (although I was never very good to begin with).

Yeah, it's weird. I don't think any of the hardcore guys are playing the port (the guys who got 210-260mil 1-ALLs and the ~300mil 2-ALLs). They'd tear Ver 1.01 apart, and I'd love to see what they could do with the Matsuri ver (260+mil, I'd wager). Maybe we'll get lucky and one of them will buy the port. Strangely, some of the Pink Sweets arcade pros ARE playing the port.

Overall, yeah, this is probably Cave's best game. It's the only Cave game that is consistently fun and constantly challenges me in new ways EVERY time I play it, because so much of it is random.

Finally got the 200+mil ALL clear. :) This score is #1 on the xbox live leaderboards (replay available). I had one chain break, and flubbed the stage 2 boss and the first half of stage 3 (including the midboss), so there are still more points to be had. I also didn't score well on some of the PS bosses.

The loop is a nightmare at max rank. Not so sure about getting the ALL now...

Yeah, the second loop is pretty tough. 2-4 is the wall for me right now. It's hardest with Ikuo due to her narrow shot, so try one of the other characters if you are aiming for a 2-ALL.

I was perhaps feeling a little intimidated by the crazy scores posted, but HVL's 'scrubby' 1.01 Ikuo score made me feel a little more comfortable. That, and having dropped ?300 on an asian x360, ketsui and DDP DFK 1.5 this evening made me feel that I've at least paid for a place on the scoreboards!

Pretty happy with this score. I dropped 2~3 mil on the last phase of the first stage 1 boss, ending that stage with just 25mil instead of my usual 27~28mil. The rest of the run went really well, except for a chain break in the last part of stage 5 (which I quickly got back up to 10K). I could do 230+mil if everything went perfect for me (and I didn't screw up anywhere), but with so much randomness and luck involved in this game, it's hard to say if that will ever happen. I'll probably keep trying to up my score because the game is so damn fun.  :)

Only posting this for the sake of hilarity... it's the first time I reach 1-5 in a real run after a dozen credits or so, I still have full lives at 120m near the end of stage 5, and I proceed to break my chain for the first time... oh well, four lives on the full boss and plenty of bombs, what could possibly go wrong?  :facepalm: Most of the (mid)bosses still feel like brick walls compared to the stages, though, so I don't really expect to do much better in the near future.
