A few questions for anyone who knows:

I have the following score for DDPDOJ on the site:

2,132,053,220 - Techi ? Type A-E

It was posted on Plasmo's list. However, HFD's Type A score you post above is below this. Was Techi's score done on the PS2 port? Is it somehow not legit?

Actually I was curious about that as well. In the side notes it (I believe - my Japanese isn't that great admittedly) says that he employs some new patterns in 1-4 and 2-5 that give him a 30 million boost in score, but also drops his chain once in 1-4 which cost him a potential 90 million. But even with the extra 90mil that would still put him pretty far below Techi's 2.1 billion score.

Maybe Techi's score was tool-assisted? I have a vague memory of hearing about that, but I'm not sure if it's this score or another one.

Anyway, I still need to find out if Techi's was done on the PS2 port. If so, I will list HFD's score, with Techi's in parentheses next to it.

SPS said he is going to keep going in Ketsui Omote until he reaches 500mil (which he says is nearly within reach), while fufufu says he can get many more points in DDPDOJ, so we will probably see more updates from these two soon.

There are also new scores for the non-Cave games Under Defeat, Batsugun, Battle Garegga, KOF Sky Stage, Shooting Love 2007, and Strania.

Nice scores indeed! The DOJ competition was completely unexpected. Hopefully we'll see a 2.1+ bil score soon.

Well in the writeup, they mention that for all of t2's Omote runs his score improvements come from the 2-3 midboss (I think that's what it says anyways - I didn't really understand that part well). It also says he uses the hyper in parts of 2-5 to play it safe, so there's still room for further improvement.

It didn't mention anything about Yusemi's Ura run though, so no clue on that

I've always had the feeling that most DFK Omote records weren't very optimized. There shouldn't be that much difference in score potential with Bomb/Strong ships compared to the Ura loop. With the Strong ships, the difference is now 50 billion or less with all ships which sounds more like it, but the Bomb records lag far behind and I can't think of any reason why would the difference need to be that big.

With Power the difference is understandable, since the hyper rank rules in Ura allow them to do some really crazy hit milking tricks right in the start.

BTW you guys keep posting Arcadia's newest Deathsmiles MBL Windia scores, but until they beat Clover-TAC's old 14,871,459,870 score on the official DVD (accomplished a year and a half ago!), there's no real point in posting them here as they won't go on the site's page.

I've just been posting every Cave score irregardless of whether it's a new record or not. I figured that some people would be interested in what some of the top Japanese players are playing, even if they don't set a new WR.
