Tipped kotaku on this earlier today and they ran the article...siliconera also just covered it.  It may not be a "proper" introduction but at the very least it will allow western audiences to sample one of Cave's better games on the cheap.  It will also shut fucking touhou fanboys the hell up.  I am so sick of hearing touhou fans spew shit like "touhou is soooo much harder" when it is obvious they've never played a Cave game.  Imperishable Night is a stupidly easy 1cc.  ESOD and PCB are slightly harder...but I still didn't feel like I had to really work for them.
Yeah, because we play games for 1CCs now. Likewise Espgaluda 2 Black Label, Omake, and Arrange modes are all stupid easy 1CCs that no-one has to work for. Remind me to show you a superplay of TH12 sometime later, I bet you'll be surprised.
<dan76> As it is I'll have to endure high res - life's hard.

Well, I play for score...I just don't happen to be very good at it.

"Oh, he took one right in the face"

Who is the one talking in this video?  Is one of the guys at Cave randomly fluent in both English and Japanese, or is this some marketing guy they hired?

This almost makes me wish I had an iPhone.  Come on Cave, give us an Android port!

KOMA

Pretty pretty pretty good EspgaludaPhoneGame.
The Awakening Pulse system is very simple and enjoyable.
3 differents mode, hardest seem to have the same X360/ARC patterns
3 differents mode of controls,You can do control all by yourself or just awakening or just bomb and awakening.

Worth the 3.99?!

Am I the only one who can't stand these controls?? This would be so much better with a D-pad such as the one shown earlier in this thread called the iControlPad.

You don't need the iPhone, it also runs on the latest iPod Touch.  The cheapest Touch is ?150 (8GB).  The 64GB version is ?300.

StarCreator

What I want to know is if it runs on the iPad, and how bad it looks if it does since it's presumably not an iPad-enhanced app.

Presumably it looks quite a bit blockier.  I'm not sure how comfortable something that size is to hold for long periods either.

Tempted to get it even if I have iPhone 3G - support the developer stuff + I will probably upgrade soon.

But are you allowed to transfer your purchase to a new phone if you buy it now?

Yes, simply wipe the original iPhone, give back/sell, get the 3GS, restore from the backup in iTunes. I don't know if it's possible for other phones, but I love things like that in Apple hardware.

I just had my first go at this game.

Im really impressed, the Esp2 feel was there, music and all.
I did experience some strange slow-down on the second boss, but it was gone the second time i got there.
I really liked the iPhone mode, tapping on the enemies was great.

Sometimes I felt like I lost the control, but maybe that was just my fat thumb. :whyioughtta:

Great experience...and I am never gonna give the iPhone back to my friend who bought the game.   >:D

Maybe during Matsuri somebody can ask how well Espgaluda II did on iTunes? It went high on JP store, but I don't think many people have iPhones in Japan (tech specs must be ancient). Hopefully they will continue to release other games on iPhone.

antares

Does anyone know what the secret achievements in this game are?

Also I made it to 22nd place in the Arcade - Tateha leaderboard yesterday so either this game bombed hard or no one is playing this seriously.
