This was announced today for the Japanese Nintendo Switch. It's a port of the old DDP DOJ DX mobile phone game, for 500 yen:

It even has online leaderboards!

This is supposedly a list of CAVE i-mode/Yahoo/EZmode games: https://web.archive.org/web/20110723063116/http://www.cave.co.jp/mobile/ge-sen/index.html

Can anyone help translate what other games could G-MODE bring to Switch? This is honestly awesome for game preservation.

On the one hand, I'm angry that THIS is what we're getting.

On the other hand, I would never play this rendition of the game without this port.  As watered-down as it appears to be, it's actually quite astounding.  And 500 yen is a steal...if this could lead to other, similar ports, I oughtn't complain.

I will buy this in the hopes they'll do ports of the Espgaluda II, Ketsui and Pink Sweets Colosseum mobile games.

It's up: https://store-jp.nintendo.com/list/software/70010000040203.html

It has a 10% launch discount so it's only 450 yen. Someone on Twitter told me it has online leaderboards so I might cop for this price.

Anyone buy this yet? I'll have to buy some Japanese eshop credit.

I'm still looking for a page that sells cheap JP Eshop credit. Some still sell 500 JPY cards but seem kinda shady. The more established ones like Play-Asia have only 1000 JPY and upwards.

I had some credit from buying SEGA AGES stuff so I bought it. It's quite remarkable what they achieved with a 2005 cellphone. It plays well and there are several difficulty settings.
