Egret 2 Controls issues

Hi all,
Thought i'd be the first to make use of the 'new' hardware section

My problem is....up untill recently i've played shmups on my cab in 1P mode only.Yesterday while playing a 2P game with a friend - i noticed that when i was pulling left on the 1P side, the 2P side was going right, on it's own - ever so slowly.......& vice versa for right/left?
This also happens when played from the 2P side (affecting the controls of 1P)
Up & down seem unaffected however?!? I'm assuming that i have a wiring problem somewhere?

assuming you are not using some kind of adaptor then i would say you have a wiring short
use game board switch test in conjunction with a multimeter to troubleshoot this
