Raiden IV [JP Xbox 360]

This game is coming SOON. In this week's famitsu, it is given a release date of Sept 11. It will have xbox live rankings and other bonuses. The most surprising bonus is an Xbox 360 mode that will add 2 more stages, for a total of 7.

I'm pretty excited for this, as the game looks really solid. Right now, it's a JP only release. The game is being released by Moss.

Yeah, I got one recently. It's well worth it: Ketsui, DDP:DOJ BL, Raiden Fighters Aces, Raiden IV, Otomedius Gorgeous, Ikaruga, and more to come I'm sure (such as Mamoru-kun).

So what is the best option to get a japanese one for cheap?Which pack has the new mother board?

I got an Arcade model from play-asia.com recently. All the new ones from P-A.com will have the falcon motherboard, which has far fewer problems (it runs much cooler) than the older models.

Sounds like they're going all out with this one.

Also, the two new stages in Xbox 360 mode are placed after 4, so the old stage 5 becomes stage 7.

Wow...once the new 360's come out in August (supposedly) I guess I'll definately have to import one. Too many shooters I need to support though I suppose Raiden IV will end up stateside at some point.

Must just be the new bosses/stages (though I think it looks fine). They're using the same code and resolution as the arcade game, so it will look identical on an HD monitor. Just play arcade mode if you don't like the look of the new stages in Xbox 360 mode.

I don't really know why this was at a Sega event. Perhaps they're distributing the game?

Do any of these 360 shooters support TATE, and 480p in 4:3 mode?

They all support TATE (those released thus far, and Raiden IV is also confirmed to have it). All the games will output at 480p if you set your X360 to output at 480p.

The great thing about 360 is unlike PS3 it has a VGA lead and you can set it to 640x480. Ideal for your monitor.

In it, a guy from Moss, Wasi303 (dude from Success who programmed Raiden Fighters Aces), and Masaki Sakari (Ketsui X programmer from 5pb) get drunk and pass around the Raiden IV package saying drunken things. A must watch video.

They found some bugs and stuff and want to fix them before the release. Better than waiting 5 months for a patch, like Raiden Fighters Aces. Still, the
delay sucks.

My copy came in the mail yesterday. I played a few credits last night, and it's OK. But nothing really great. Admittedly, when you have a stack of CAVE PCBs sitting next to you, it's sort of hard to enjoy this game. It feels so doujin-esque. A few of the boss patterns are pretty good, but the stages are rather dull.
