I found an error in the mushihimesama section:
QuoteThis mode is Toaplan style with fast aimed bullets. There are no special scoring tricks like Maniac & Ultra but there is a multiplier that you get for each enemy killed.
Some other non-destructible enemies (like the Nana bushes on stage 2) allow you to raise this multiplier. The Nana bushes are destructable but only after opening up. If you stay on top of them they don't open, instead your multiplier starts going up.
As for scoring on the bosses, the most common exploit for points is timing out each boss.
There's no multiplier in original mode; the number that appears is just a gem counter. Every time you grab a gem it shows how many you've picked up so far. There is also a trick in stage 2, where destroying the first form of the stage 2 boss without breaking any of his legs will get you 1,000,000 points (?).

what zebra wrote is correct.

might be worth mentioning that milking the hairy balls in stage 2 is absoluteley essential for a good score..

are we playing the same version...?  :/

The legs are worth 200,000pts each, and there are six legs, so it's 1,200,000. The boss itself it also worth 200,000.

And btw, great work with the site rtw.

So if I leave 5 legs behind I will get 1000000  + 200000 ?

I gather the same applies for maniac and ultra mode ?

Glad you like the site :D

Yes and yes, although I just checked the maniac replay from the DVD and he kills one legs and gets 1,500,000 points when killing the boss, but I guess that could be that the counter-value gives you extra points in some way.

Most likely works in ultra too, but you have to be real crazy to keep the legs alive  :)

GaijinPunch

In the interview, he says it's almost impossible to only break one leg, but 5 out of 6 gives a nice counter.   Doesn't matter that much though.  Bosses in Maniac are nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I have updated the Mushihimesama system page with the pertinent information.

I decided not to add the nana bushes & legs to the System page. They should
instead be included on a "strategies" page which is yet to be written.

Also added the missing 1Up in Ketsui & The Sheep added the secret Gunbird train
in Strikers 1945.

Have considered putting the developer information for the games on World of Arcades? I'm not sure if this information is available elsewhere but it would be cool to have the credits for each games listed on their respective pages. I'd be willing to compile it for the games that I personally own.

If you supply me with the HTML it should be easy to do. Question is layout and what to call the section. Creators ?

Should the layout be tabular ? Centred ? Should we respect the colours of Yagawa (Male/Female) ?

Give me a list and I'll knock up an example.

And I have to ask the Sheep if it' OK :D
