New Cave release(s) for Europe have been quite strongly hinted at by Rising Star Games on their forums, with an official announcement hopefully coming in the next few weeks. Check the two posts by Kallam - RSG staff:

Looks promising. I will re buy any cave game to support the company.
Do they publish in the US?
I don't think that they publish in the US, unfortunately, and I suspect that their releases are region-locked. Anyone know for sure?
I will also be buying any Cave games that they publish, even if I already own imports - gotta show the support! Besides, maybe they will release more interesting editions with bonuses and extras like they did with Deathsmiles?
Pretty sure they don't release in the US and pretty sure their releases are region-locked. At least their DeathSmiles was.
Looks like Dodonpachi Daifukkatsu is getting a European release on October 15th - it's listed on Amazon France, but has not yet been officially announced by Rising Star Games:

Hopefully this leads to a GoD release in the US.

Can't wait for it :righton:
even though it was hinted already, they just confirmed DDPDFK (they're translating the title much like the iphone version)
question is, how they will handle the release? i see 3 possibilities
-1.5 disc with 1.51 and BL already on the disc
-1.5 disc with 1.51, BL and BL arrange on the disc
-2 disc release in one package
EDIT: there's an interview that pretty much answers my questions
http://www.midlifegamer.net/2011/07/dodonpachiresurrection/
Details have just been announced - the retail release will just contain DDPDFK 1.5, while Black label will be available as DLC on the day of release.

Now here's the all-important question: Will they make it region-free? (Probably not.)

Pretty much guaranteed to be as region free as Deathsmiles.
Going to get a copy or two when this hits the ?/?10 bargain bin. I wish they'd include some exclusive extras to make it more desirable for those who have the Japanese version.
No Word on Black Label arrange (ketsui) mode. Would be nice to have as dlc.

Err... My PAL copy of Deathsmiles does not work on my J360. Don't know of that's what you meant.
Man, I am so happy.
I didn't buy a japanese xbox360 since I had no cash and already deathsmiles, futari and espgaluda II to train hard on but was going to change my mind for DFK BL coz going to the arcade was starting to be boring (I'd rather play in my sofa)
I'll buy this one on day one, and get whatever DLC they offer for it :righton:
Noob question, but would this release possibly work on a N.American 360 or is it strictly PAL?
It will almost certainly be region locked to PAL machines, so you will not be able to play it on a NTSC-U 360.
Raising Star says in a facebook reply on its press release that their new DDPR will work on US 360s http://www.facebook.com/RisingStarGames/posts/258848714139342
edit:
But the DLC will be region locked.

No no, there's no word on the DLC yet, and all we know for sure is that it won't be on the US marketplace... there's no information on region-locking on the DLC, and it doesn't seem too likely to happen outside of publishing restrictions.
Buying this just to support RS.
Sadly, torisu also confirmed the game will not work on Japanese consoles (http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?p=717432#p717432). I might still import it but just like Deathsmiles NA, I wouldn't actually be able to play it.
Black label is up already! 800msp.

For which regions? And does it include Ketsuipachi?
May or may not buy it depending on those factors
There won't be ketsuipatchi for uk. I don't know if it's out in the rest of Europe or just here in the uk.
Ver. 1.51 is up now, and it is only 80mp
80? :o
That has to be some kind of record for lowest price for DLC that wasn't free.

Indeed - I wondered if it was some sort of mistake. I snapped it up though! I have the Japanese disc release of Black Label, but not of 1.5, so I'm looking forward to getting the PAL game tomorrow.
I just looked at the DLC download sizes - Black Label (800mp) is 255.18 MB while 1.51 (80mp) is only 3.61 MB, so the prices sort of make sense.
The 1.51 might be some sort of diff file it runs against the original to save a new version... BL has a whole new soundtrack.

Ah yes, I'd forgotten that Black Label has a different soundtrack. I guess 1.51 is a bit of barg, then. Surely people would be willing to pay more for it!?
