First Metal Slug 4 (ACA NEOGEO - Xbox Series X) score. Good enough for #4 on the online rankings:
4,111,630 - Stage 6 - USA Ver.
Got the 500k Metalish bonus in Stages 1, 2, 4, and 5 and the 100k "Great" hostage bonus in Stages 1, 4, and 5. Ended Stage 5 with about 4mil. I no-missed up until the final stage, where I lost one life in the first part, and another two soon after. I really need to practice that stage! After I get it down, I'll do some more runs and hopefully get the 1CC.

SNK announced Art of Fighting 3 Reignite. A newly balanced update of AOF3 with two new characters (King and Yuri) who have brand new sprites! Only announced for Steam right now.

Best Metal Slug 4 replay I've found that is a no-miss, doesn't have excessive milking, and is still rather high scoring (5.8mil) is this one (on original MVS hardware), by the Japanese player KAZ:

Lots of great Metal Slug 2 videos out there, but I found Reshio's live no-miss 1CC on the MVS version at Mikado arcade to be quite helpful:

I particularly like his bridge strat on ST6, which I used, and which makes this difficult part of the stage fairly trivial. I haven't seen this in other MS2 vids. If you time it just right you don't even need to toss any bombs (except the initial two bombs to get it started) as your gun will clip all the enemies from the right of the screen. Usually I need to throw a few bombs to take out a couple guys who make it through, but that's still pretty easy.

Metal Slug 2 (ACA NEOGEO - Xbox Series X)
4,287,040 - ALL (No Miss) - 91 Prisoners - JP Ver.
Met my goals of 4+mil and a no-miss 1CC, so I'm pretty happy! I got lucky on the RNG on the last boss, several Laser powerups dropped in the first phase, so I went into the last phase with over 600 Laser.
OK, now I'm moving on to Metal Slug 4, which I've started practicing! Current goal is just a 1CC, but I'd like to get over 5mil eventually.

All of these except Ben Shinobi's score were done at an arcade in Japan (but still, Ben played on original hardware, so his score is valid). And all were at default MVS difficulty (LV4), of course.

Good news: This received an update on 16 June and it now works properly on Switch 2! Only took a year.

I got the 1CC in Metal Slug 2 (ACA NEOGEO, Xbox Series X).

Took me a few days of practicing stages 5 and 6 to pull this off. One death in the middle of Stage 6, and one death on the final boss. Somehow I dodged a lot of lasers and survived to the end (the slowdown helped!). I'd like to get over 4mil, so I'll put that on my to-do list.

OK, I got #1 on the Xbox Metal Slug Hi Score ranking with a score of 2,477,470 (1CC, of course):
About 2,000 points under my previous score. I lost the slug on the ST3 boss, costing me 10k. Various other silly mistakes too, so this really should have been over 2.5mil.
I think I'm done with MS1 for now. The tick-point milking in ST5 is becoming a bit of a drag (as is the item RNG in the beginning of ST2, which can affect your score by around 100k).

I finally figured out a consistent, safe bridge pattern in the final stage, as well as a safe strat on the final boss, which helped me pull off everything in one run. I wasn't playing in "hi score" mode on the Xbox version in this run, which is unfortunate because this score would have put me at #1 on the online leaderboard! Maybe I'll try for that at some point, but this score already exceeded my goal of 2.4mil, so I think it may be time to move on to Metal Slug 2 already.
